Yesterday Iljo Keisse moved into second place in the standings at the Six-Days of Ghent but after two days he and his teammate Mark Cavendish are already 45 points behind the leaders Jasper de Buyst and Kenny De Ketele. 

Yesterday Iljo Keisse and Mark Cavendish won the first madison and the derny finals but they were unable to pose a threat for the leading pair.

"It's not bad but it could be better," Keisse told Sporza. "We are too far behind on points. I certainly can't deny that.

"When it comes to the minor disciplines, Kenny De Ketele and Jasper de Buyst are far better than us. We are never missing much but it's not enough."

Keisse has already won the Six-Days five times but this year things are not going satisfactorily.

"Unlike other years, I do not rider around with a super feeling. I am clearly missing a bit.

"I do not know what it is, but I do not feel one hundred percent right.

"Hopefully there will be improvement as the Six-Days progresses and I will be able to find back my good condition. We need to start to score points or perhaps even gain a lap in a madison. Although the latter is never easy."
