Team LottoNL-Jumbo have announced their provisional line-up for the Vuelta a Andalucia. With Wilco Kelderman, Laurens Ten Dam and Steven Kruijswijk, the team will have multiple cards to play in the GC.
For Kelderman, the Spanish race will mark the first test after he broke his collarbone in December. The Dutchman will use the race to build condition for Paris-Nice which is his first goal of the year.
Ten Dam will use the race to get his diesel engine going as he builds form for his later objectives like the Tour of California and the Tour de France while Kruijswijk will use the race as a first stepping stone towards the Giro d'Italia.
While the condition for the three stage race stars is uncertain, George Bennett has proved to be in splendid form after he finished 10th in the Tour Down Under. The Kiwi will provide the Ducth team with a fourth option for the GC.
For the sprint stages, the team will count on Moreno Hofland who won a stage in last year's race. He will be supported by another fast rider, Tom Leezer, who may play the role of lead-out man.
The team is completed by Jos van Emden who may test his legs in the opening time trial.
Kelderman et al will face tough opposition as Alberto Contador, Chris Froome, Nairo Quintana, Romain Bardet and Jean-Christophe Peraud are among the riders on the provisional start list.
