Roger Kluge will not take the start of Dwars door Vlaanderen, otherwise known in French as A Travers Flanders, on Wednesday, March 23rd, as had been previously planned. Still suffering from the cold that he carried through Milan-San Remo, the recent silver medalist in the omnium at the track world championships will not be in a position to perform to his highest level.
The sports management at IAM Cycling, in consultation with the team doctor, will decide when Kluge may be able to return to competition, based on the evolution of his condition.
IAM Cycling’s management have chosen Vegard Stake Laengen to replace Kluge for the Swiss team at Dwars door Vlaanderen.
