Ilia Koshevoy is desperate. The Belaruian is out of contract with Lampre-Merida and has not been signed by its successor TJ Sport. To stay in the pro peloton, he uses social media to find a new team.
Koshevoy made his appeal viaTwitter. "I'm searching for a team for 2017. Maybe some team can be interested in me? Retweet please guys"; he wrote. His plea was hugely popular as around four hundred people shared his message. "Wow! Woke up with 300+ retweets! Thank you guys! Hope that it can help! Because I love cycling and I am full of energy for new challenges," he wrote on Thursday morning.
Last year, Estonian Mihkel Raïm made a similar call. He found a new team at the Israeli Cycling Academy.
In 2015, Koshevoy who is known as a climber, finished second in a mountain stage at the Vuelta a Espana. He took his only pro win at the 2015 Tour of Qinghai Lake.
