" Unfortunately I just had not enough speed to win. After more than twenty places in the top 10, it would be nice with a victory to finish my season. In that respect, I get three more chances."

With a rider in the break almost every day and two top 3 results for Raymond Kreder, the Tour de l'Eurometropole was good for Roompot Orange Peloton went well. The fast sprinter ended the five-day race as 2nd in the points classification behind Jurgen Roelants. Frenchman Alexis Gougeard won the overall.

After a prologue without good results (Berden de Vries was our fastest in 28th), Raymond Kreder showed the speed in the race on stage 1 where he was only beaten by stage winner Jens Debusschere. And despite a mechanical in the last 20 kilometers. A day later, Ivar Slik way part of the bereak. Kreder had to settle for 12the in the sprint.

In the stage on Saturday, Jesper Asselman was on the attack. Deep into the finale, one of the strongest rookies in this professional peloton competed for the stage victory. In the end, he was defeated by the chasing peloton which wanted a sprint. Edward Theuns was the fastest while Kreder was 5th.

Maurits Lammertink was one of the protagonists in the final stage. With seven passage of the Cote de Jubaru/Mont Saint Aubert in the local circuit around Tournai, the winner of a stage in the Tour du Limousin tested his form for the three Italian classics of the last week. Three times Lammertink joined a breakaway, but a sprint was unavoidable. Behind Jonas Ahlstrand, Raymond Kreder was third.

"It was a great week for me," said Kreder."Today we managed to keep me in front all the time and with the help of my teammates I could start the finale fresh. Unfortunately I just had not enough speed to win. After more than twenty places in the top 10, it would be nice with a victory to finish my season. In that respect, I get three more chances."
