Roman Kreuziger will do everything to clear his name. Alberto Contador's Czech teammate has been accused of doping but according to the rider, he has now passed a lie detector test.
During his time at Astana, Roman Kreuziger showed abnormal blood values which prompted the UCI to suspend him provisionally. In late Septmerb 2014, the Czech Olympic Committee acquitted him but the UCI and the World Anti-Doping Agency WADA appealed the case to CAS.
Kreuziger is frustrated by the accusations and in November he launched a new website to prove his innocence. Now he also underwent a lie detector test to further back his claims that he has always been riding clean.
Kreuziger answered three questions with a "no": "Have you ever doped? Have you ever received a blood transfusion to improve your performance? Have you ever used EPO?"
The test was conducted in Prague by an independent expert. "For me this was very important," Kreuziger says on his website. "I have nothing to hide and will do everything possible to clear my name."
When CAS will hear the appeal of WADA and the UCI is not yet known. "The facts speak in my favor," Kreuziger claims.
