In 2015, Alexander Kristoff will target the spring classics, the Tour de France and the Worlds in Richmond after a sensational 2014 season that saw him wint Milan-Sanremo and two stages of the Tour de France.
Alexander Kristoff is now attending a training camp in Calpe with his Katusha team and he now knows how he will approach the first part of the season. According to BiciCiclismo, the Norwegian will start his season at the Tour of Qatar before continuing at the Tour of Oman, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne, Paris-Nice, Milan-San Remo, E3 Harelbeke, Gent-Wevelgem, Three Days of De Panne, Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix.
His main goals come in the time from March 22 (Sanremo) to April 12 in (Roubaix). In the second part of the season, the Tour de France and the World Championships in Richmond are the main goals.
In 2015, Kristoff won no less than 14 races. In February, he won a stage in the Tour of Oman, in March he won Milan-Sanremo, in May, he won the Rund um den Finanzplats, two stages in the Tour of Norway and two stages in the Tour des Fjords and another stage and the overall in the Tour des Fjords in June, in July he won two stages of the Tour de France and in August he took two stages in the Arctic Race of Norway and the Vattenfall Cyclassics. Furthermore, he was fifth in the Tour of Flanders and eighth in the Worlds road race in Ponferrada.
