As it was announced today, known as a symbol of the Liege-Bastogne-Liege la Redoute climb will once again play a very important role in sorting out the general classification of the Eneco Tour 2014 edition, as it was inserted to the route of its queen stage.
Slowly gaining some greater audience throughout its less than ten years of existence, the Eneco Tour offers a rare opportunity for punchy riders to hit the roads very well known from spring Classics in the middle of European’s summer. The event, recently won by Zdenek Stybar of Omega Pharma-Quick Step, will be held this year between 11th and 17th August, and the queen stage featuring famous la Redoute climb will take the peloton from Heerlen, where Eddy Merckx won his first World Championship title, to Aywaille.
