Four teams share the lead at the halfway point in the Bremen Six Days race. The Dutch - German constellation of Wim Stroetinga and Leif Lampater has a narrow lead over Kalz and Bartko who were nowhere near the podium in the much stronger race in Rotterdam earlier this week.

These two teams gained a lap on Grasmann - Brisse and Hester - Müller in the final Madison on the third night to make it a four way race at the midway point. Stroetinga – Lampater edged out Bartko and Kalz for the Madison win and thus took the lead.

Swiss rider Tristan Marguet and Dutchman Yoeri Havik were both neutralised late last night due to a high fever and a shoulder injury respectively. A decision will be made later today as to their ability to continue in the race.
