This week Team LAMPRE-MERIDA will participate in a double appointment in Switzerland. On Thursday, the blue-fuchsia-green team will take part in the GP Canton d’Argovie Gippingen and from the 13th to the 21st of June it will race in the Tour de Suisse.

Sports director Simone Pedrazzini and Bruno Vicino will count on 8 riders for both races: Niccolò Bonifazio, Davide Cimolai, Valerio Conti, Mario Costa, Kristijan Durasek, Przemyslaw Niemiec, Luka Pibernik and Xu Gang.

The ambitions of the team will be focused on the group of young riders (Bonifazio, Cimolai, Conti and Pibernik) who have given many satisfactions in the first part of the season. Durasek will be back in action after the victory in the Tour of Turkey, Niemiec will try to exploit his condition after the Giro d’Italia and Mario Costa will try to again be a key element as domestique.

The team will be completed by Chinese rider Xu Gang, who wants to deliver a good performance after the Giro d’Italia in which he was giving his important contribution to the team until he was forced to withdraw from the race.
