Lampre-Merida will be partthe Italian National selection, which will participate in the next Tour de l'Avenir, one of the most important races in the Under 23 category. Lampre-Merida has made agreements which secures the team two of the most talented young Italian climbers, namely Simone Petilli and Edward Ravasi.
They will both be part of the Italian National team for Tour de l'Avenir. Simone Petilli, who was born in Bellano on 4/5/1993, is now part of Team Unieuro's roster and during the season, he has demonstrated his skills as climber by obtaining a long series of top results.
The most important is the 3rd place in the general classification of the Giro della Valle d'Aosta, the victories in the youth classification in the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali and one stage and the final classification in the Ronde de l'Isard.
Edward Ravasi, born in 1994 in Besnate, is a member of Team Colpack and he will get a taste of the Lampre-Merida atmosphere as trainee in the next months. In 2015, the Italian climber has won two races (Giro della Provincia di Biella and Memorial Gasparotto) and has obtained many other top results, which confirm his qualities.
Lampre-Merida will watch the performances of the talented duo in the Tour de l'Avenir. Soon, the details of the passage to World Tour for the two riders will be detailed.
Petilli and Ravasi will reinforce the tradition of the team with a commitment to young riders, just like Filippo Ganna who has an agreement with LAMPRE-MERIDA and will be trainee in the next months.
