Mikel Landa did a great season with Astana this year. The Spanish rider was strong on three-week races: two stage wins at the Giro d'Italia (+ third overall) and one stage win at the Vuelta a Espana. 

But he wants to finish this season with victory at Il Lombardi, the final major classics. It will be his last race with the Kazakh team. Indeed, he will wear the Team Sky jersey in 2016.

"I’m really motivated for it. Lombardia is my favourite race, and this year I finished the Vuelta in good shape," said Landa according to Biciciclismo.
