Sebastian Langeveld has the ambition to get a result in Paris-Roubaix this weekend. The rider of Cannondale Garmin could not play a significant role in the finale of the Tour of Flanders, after crashing hard in E3 and still feeling the effects. Eventually he had to settle for 54th place.
"I still feel a slight disappointment, but probably later dominated the positive feeling. This is normal after a bad week," he told NUsport. "I want as Dutch champion to feature in the finals of the big races, but my result was good as two days ago I did not even think that I was going to start.”
Physically, he had a good day. "I've had no problems with my knee and again I have some miles in the legs," he recalls. "I deliberately did not ride with painkillers and definitely think I soon recovered sufficiently. Roubaix I want to get a result."
Wednesday he stands at the start of the Scheldeprijs. Sunday follows Paris-Roubaix, where he finished eighth last year.
