This weekend Dutch road race champion Sebastian Langeveld wants to conquer another red-white-blue jersey. On Saturday, the Cannondale-Garmin rider will be at the start of the Dutch beach racing championships. In 2014, the Dutch road race champion won the race convincingly.
This season the 29-year-old Langeveld has already been in action on the beach. On December 7, he was 6th at the MTB BeachBattle in Wijk aan Zee. On Saturday, he will have to deal with a number of formidable opponents. 19-year-old talent Richard Jansen who has already won two beach races this season, Laurens ten Dam, Thijs Zonneveld and defending champion Jasper Ockeloen will all be at the start.
The beach race will be held on a 36km course between Egmond aan Sea and Velsen-Noord. The national championship beach race will take place for the second time.
