Guillaume Levarlet (Auber 93) was in the mix in stage of the Tour du Limousin as he was part of the early break and won the most aggressive rider award.
"First we were three (Guillaume Bonnafond, Giorgio Cecchinel and Levarlet, ed) and there was a good understanding," he told Directvelo. "Then we were caught by Nicolas Edet which was good since the Italian did not do too much. The Frenchmen cooperated well but we did not hve too much hope. We knew that Movistar and FDJ chased and we knew it was going to be difficult.
"The balance of the day is still good, I had good legs. I also earned some bonus seconds, it's always good for the general classification. I'm currently in the top 10 (6th, ed.), it's not bad. I will now try to do the maximum to follow the best. To finish in the top ten here would be good."
