Sven Vanthourenhout will join the staff of the Telenet-Fidea team on March 1, 2016. The cyclo-cross rider from Crelan-Euphony will end his professional career and will join his friend and current teammate Sven Nys who takes over Telenet-Fidea on that same date.

According to Het Laatste Nieuws, the 34-year-old Vanthourenhout will be in charge of the youth divison at Telenet Fidea. Nys is satisfied with the new recruitment: "The right man in the right place."

Nys will take over the role of manager from Dutchman Hans van Kasteren. Earlier it was announced that Nys' relationship with his current manager Jan Verstraeten will end.
