The Driedaagse van de Panne enters its final phase with today's double header: a 112,6km flat stage in the morning and the all-decisive 14,75km time trial in the streets of De Panne. You can follow all the action on CyclingQuotes.com/live from 10.15 and 14.45, respectively.
The morning stage is a short hectic affair on a circuit around the coastal city of De Panne. With a string of sprinters on the start list, they will all be easger to get revenge after Mark Cavendish won yesterday's first bunch kick. The general classification guys hope for an easy ride, but they have to be careful. Racing near the coast is a risky affair and with strong winds in Belgium this week, teams will try to gain an advantage ahead of the race against the clock by forcing a selection in the crosswinds sections.
It is then a short rest ahead of 14,75km of lonely fight on a technical, flat circuit in De Panne. The time trial will put the final touches to the overall classification and determine the successor of last year's winner, Sylvain Chavanel. Chavanel won the time trial last year, and having gained time on all of his strongest rivals - except teammate Niki Terpstra - he enters today's racing as the overwhelming favourite.
Starting at 10.15 and 14.45 respectively, you can follow all the action on CyclingQuotes.com/live. Until then, you can prepare by studying our preview.
