Despite truly heroic efforts made by overnight leaders pair no. 14, local favourites Alex Rasmussen and Michael Morkov took their fourth victory in the Six Days of Copenhagen, being arguably the strongest pair in this year's event. Christian Grasmann and Jesper Morkov finished second, while Leif Lampater and Marcel Kalz completed the podium.

The ultimate evening at the Six Days of Copenhagen kicked off with sprints competition, followed by a 30-minutes long Madison race. Despite a very aggressive atitude presented by all teams remaining in contention, especially de Buyst and Hester, none of their attack could stick and so the genral classification hasn't changed significantly. The little chase was won by Austrians Andreas Graf and Muller, who strengthened their fifth position.

In line with all expectations, top contanders decided not to spend their energy and returned to their boxes early in the elimination race. Only local heroes pair no. 7, leading in the general classification at this point of rivalry due to crossing the 300-point mark and gaining a bonus, rewarded their home crowd with a victory in that competition. In the final sprint, Alex Rasmussen beat Didier Caspers.

Following two days with no success in his favourite discipline, Jesper Morkov won the final derny grand prix, beating his older brother and de Buyst on the final lap. Top contenders again had no intentions to battle in the second elimination race, that one was eventually taken by Daniel Holloway, while without any surprise Marcel Kalz won sixth in a row 500-meter long time trial.

The decisive big chase was characterized by countless attacks and counter-attacks coming from top four combinations, with overnight leaders pair no. 14 being definitely the most aggressive. Halfway through the 60-minutes long Madison Rasmussen/Morkov, Grasmann/Morkov and Lampater/Kalz were all at the same lap, but former two teams ganged up and gained an advantage over the rest of the field.

In the end, impressive efforts of other contenders weren't enough to defeat local heroes, who managed to gain yet another lap and emphasized their domination in this year's edition of Six Days of Copanhagen by winning the final Madison. For Rasmussen and Morkov is was fourth victory in the home event as a pair.
