The profile of stage 13 looks a lot like a transition stage. The winner in Rodez will certainly be a strong rider, but will a breakaway fight for the victory or will it be a group sprint at the uphill finish? Lotto Soudal sports director Herman Frison gives his opinion.
“That are indeed the two options. There aren’t many transition stages, so that type of riders will definitely be motivated to join a breakaway. We have guys in the team who can do that as well. Whether it will be a sprint in Rodez depends on how big the break is and the ambitions of some teams in the peloton.”
