LottoNL-Jumbo have unveiled their line-up for the Tour Down Under. Enrico Battaglin had previously announced that he will make his debut in Australia and that has been confirmed. The team will also line up four Dutchmen, one New Zealander and one Slovenian.
The Tour Down Under will take place from the 19th to the 24th of January and is the first World Tour race of the new cycling season. LottoNL-Jumbo sends a mix of returning riders and new signings to Australia.
For the GC, the team is likely to focus on new signing Primoz Roglic who won the Tour de Slovenie in 2015 and will be eager to start well at his new team, and George Bennett who gets a rare chance to ride in the Southern hemisphere. With his puncheur skills, Enrico Battaglin could also play a role in the overall standings while also targeting stage wins, with the uphill sprint in Stirling looking like an obvious target.
The team is completed by Vuelta stage winner Bert-Jan Lindeman and strong domestiques Martijn Keizer, Maarten Tjallingii and Bram Tankink.
