After showing impressive progression in 2014, Adriano Malori kicks-off his second season at Movistar team with entirely new motivation. He has already demonstrated that, at his best, he is able to challenge the best time trialists in the professional peloton, but this is not enough for the Italian specialist.

„The goal for 2015 is to further improve at a general level, most importantly to move another step closer to the best time trial specislists and to begin discovering the Northern classics, because I think that one day I will be able to do something there,” Malori told Gazzetta dello Sport. „I have to take these steps in advance, few years before trying to win them.”

Malori will kick-off his 2015 season at the Tour de San Luis once again, where he will be provided with a chance to open his account very early thanks to a long time trial, while Tirreno-Adriatico will be his first event after returning to Europe. The Tour de France will be one of his biggest objectives this year, though, where he aim to win a first stage in Utrecht and thus become its first leader.

„The goal will be to win the first stage,” Malori admitted, aware that his main task at the French Grand Tour will be supporting his leader. „Nairo is one of the strongest in the world. I think there was more pressure on him last year in the Giro d'Italia, where he started as a favourite. At the Tour there will be Nibali, Froome, Contador... any of them can win it or lose it.”
