Since joining Movistar in 2014, Adriano Malori has confirmed his potential and become one of the best time triallists in the world. The Italian spoke to CyclingQuotes.com just after the Circuit de la Sarthe, where he won the TT and was third overall before he headed to the start of Paris-Roubaix.

After winning the TT in San Luis, Tirreno-Adriatico and Sarthe, he confirmed his potential for the season. He confirmed that his big goals for the rest of 2015 were the opening TT in the Tour de France and the podium at the Worlds TT.

“My target is to be better every time and to gain the podium at world championship TT. I also want to do a good first TT at the Tour de France.”

His next events are the Tour de Suisse and the Tour, where he will ride in support of Nairo Quintana. He spoke about the pressure that riders like Quintana and Valverde remove by being prolific winners and repaying the work of their teammates.

“It's quite the same in terms of pressure. Nairo and Alejandro are two nice guys that can leave you without stress as they are great champions.”

He puts his arrival as one of the best in the world in the TT down to the plan Movistar gave him to work with and the freedom they gave him to work on his technique and ability.

“I followed a strong work program to be better at he time trial and I have to thank Movistar to leave me room in the team to grow for myself, in addition to helping my captains.”
