Despite the announced departure of Rabobank, manager Koos Moerenhout hopes to keep the RaboLiv cycling team alive. The intention is to continue the women's team with a new sponsor under a different name.
"We have a top team. My approach is that we cannot let this team fall apart," team manager Moerenhout told De Telegraaf. "It seems likely that a company will come in to continue this project."
Marianne Vos, one of the great leaders of the team, stressed that she and her teammates have done everything to show women's cycling in a positive way. "Also in 2016 we will do one hundred percent with the major highlight of the Games in Rio. I want to thank Rabobank for all the opportunities they have given the team, young riders and me."
