Tomasz Marczynski has made the move from CCC Sprandi Polkowice to Torku Sekerspor for the 2015 season. He discussed the latest move in his career with PEZ Cycling.
“I received a really nice offer from Lionel Marie who will be general team manager of Torku. It’s really interesting project over there and I’m convinced that we are going to do a good job during this season.”
He will join up with the team for a training camp soon. He and another new signing, Kevin Seeldraeyers are the leaders of the Turkish squad, who are implementing a new, cleaner team than previous editions.
“We get together 13th January for our first official training camp. I’m really looking forward to meeting and getting to know my teammates.”
It will be a nice change for the Pole, who used to ride for Vaconsoleil, who admitted he didn’t have the best season last year at his return to CCC, where he rode for a few seasons.
“It’s difficult to say because I spent the whole year working for my team mates and never had an opportunity to ride my own race. I think there wasn’t really a highlight – just a good season after a really difficult 2013 when I could not race for almost half the season due to an operation.”
But he wants to ensure that he has the best season possible in 2015 and he says he is on top of his training and is going in the right direction.
“It’s all under control; I started my preparation in the middle of November and for the moment everything is going good.”
