In 2015, Alejandro Marque will join the continental Efapel team and will be joined by Óscar González, Spanish U23 time trial champion.
In 2015, Efapel will have a 10-rider team and Alejandro Marque, winner of the 2013 Volta ao Portugal, will be the team leader.
"We made a proposal and in principle there is an agreement. During this week it will be finalized ," Pereira said Tuesday in A Bola . The Portuguese coach and Marque confirmed the news on Spanish web sit Arueda .
"I'm thrilled. It is a highly regarded team in Portugal, with an excellent structure and serious riders," the rider said.
Marque was unable to ride professionally in 2014 until in August the Spanish Cycling Federation decided to shelve his doping case after his positive test at the 2014 Portuguese race that he won. Marque managed to prove his innoncence but his planned move to Movistar never materialized. Having ridden for Portiguese teams since 2004, he will continue his career in the country.
Óscar González will accompany Marque on the Portuguese team. Being Spanish U23 time trial champion, he makes the jump from the Supermarkets Froiz team.
Diego Rubio will do his second season after he has renewed his contract, like Filipe Cardoso, Sérgio Sousa, Joni Brandão, Hélder Ferreira and Rafael Silva.
Ricardo Mestre, Victor de la Parte Part, Garikoitz Bravo, Carlos Oyarzun and João Silva will leave the team while the future of Bruno Silva still doubt.
Pereira has ensured that Efapel will continue as the main sponsor of the team and is looking forward to presenting "a second sponsor in the coming days." The team has paid the fee to the UCI and the bank guarantee is ready.
