In 2015, several riders will be to follow. Examples include the Italian Mattia Cattaneo. Winner of the Baby Giro in 2011, before Fabio Aru, he is one of the riders which are promised a bright future. This season, his best performance remains an 8th place on the 14th stage of the Giro. He had escaped and crossed the finish line 33 seconds behind the winner Enrico Battaglin. "That day was the best day of Giro" for him.

"This season has been positive enough. I have completed a good Giro D’Italia and after it, a very good Tour of Suisse. Amstel Gold race is a very nervous race but beautiful, Liege is very hard but fantastic for road and people", he told Ciclismo Internacional. 

He is a good climber, but also a good wheeler. He finished 10th two times over individual time trial of the Tour of Switzerland. "I love this speciality and I’m going to improve my performances in TT."

2015 will be the year of confirmation and the Lampre Merida rider wants to shine. "I will try to BE competitive in short course races. My dream ever since, is to win the Tour de France, I think it HAS aim to have remained a dream just now."
