Daniel McLay and Fortuneo-Vital Concept are on the hunt for a leadout man for 2017. The Brit has performed above expectations this season and the team want to find him more support.
"A true last man. That's what we're looking for. I think there are a few out there and it's just whether the team will take them or not,” McLay told Cyclingnews.
McLay said his leadouts this season have varied greatly, with different riders helping him. Things have gone well however, as he has won the GP de la Somme, GP de Denain and finished third in a Tour sprint.
"This year it [the lead-out] varied a bit. This was the first year that I was performing on that level. In the Tour, I was typically getting to a couple of kilometres before the line and then I'm by myself. One day they were there pretty late but I stuffed it up that time."
