"It makes me happy." Those were the first words of Bauke Mollema after the presentation of the 104th edition of the Tour de France. "Only 36 kilometers time trial is very little,” he told NOS.

Mollema i mainly focused on the three uphill finishes. 

"That looks pretty good. And whether those few kilometers of time trialling is in my favor? Yes, compared to some riders they. But I was  sixth in the time trial this year."

Mollema is one of the few riders to have been close to the top 10 in the past four years. He was 6th, 10th, 7th and 11th respectively. But whether the 29-year-old rider from Trek will again be the leader is the question as Alberto Contador joins him.

"It's the plan that Contador arrives to be the great leader. We don’t know what my role will be, whether I will be a co-captain or play a support role with perhaps the Giro already in the legs."

Mollema suggests that he will do another grand tour in addition to the Tour. 

"We have just had the first team gathering. The Giro may have been an option for me. But we won’t make a decisione until December."

Contador was also present at the team meeting. 

"Yes, I met him. I think we have made a big step as a team. With his arrival and that of Pantano, who did a very good Tour, I think we are a lot stronger next year. We can make it difficult for a team like Sky. "
