Carlos Betancur took his second stage win in a row by launching a fierce acceleration on the steep Mur de Fayence in the queen stage of Paris-Nice. We have already posted several reactions and have gathered a few more below.
Enrico Gasparotto (Astana, 140th +16.58)
“I tried to get into the breakaway today but missed the first attack. After that I stayed out for about 15 minutes but couldn’t get across. In the second half of the race I suffered like a dog."
Brice Feillu (Bretagne, 23rd +0.21)
"When the climb started, I tried to attack. But the group followed me. If they hadn't followed me, I would have accelerated again because I was not feeling bad. It was an explosive finish, a bit too much for me. I prefer it a bit longer.
"I knew the riders. I knew that there were some passages that were not so difficult. Before the Mur de Fayence, I had to be at the front. That's where I started the Mur.
"We have not yet seen a breakaway go to the end. And tomorrow that could happen. In our team we can all try out luck. This Saturday we will have a good chance."
