It is time to draw the balance for Gianni Moscon. The talent of Team Sky who has just completed his first season as a professional, impressed the cycling world by delivering excellent performances during the year. To find space in the British team is far from easy, but this has not prevented the Italian from winning the Arctic Race of Norway during which he took victory the queen stage, and shining in several classics. 

"At the beginning of the season I did not expect to win at this level,” he told RaiSport. “My first goal was to acclimate in the best way and be useful to the team. I have gained much more and hope it is a good omen.”

Moscon has "improved a lot" during the year, although he could see "the difference in pace" right from the start. This growth has been a stimulus for the talent who realized that "it is not totally impossible" to achieve results at the highest levels. 

"The season still is not entirely indicative,” he added. “It may have been a fluke. But I will work well. Next year I will do the usual things and we will see what my limits are. At Roubaix I raced well, but I was unlucky with a couple of crashes. In that kind of race luck is part of the game and you have to take that into consideration. I like the pave, I'm comfortable there."

“Riding alongside champions like Boonen and Cancellara" was a good school that allowed him to improve his understanding of "the classics where you have to be at 100% from start to finish." 

"I'd like to do a pretty important race and fight with the strongest ,” he concluded. “Already being there partially means that I have reached the goal."
