Giulio Ciccone wasn'tbe at the start of stage 19 of Giro d’Italia. The young talent of Bardiani-CSF, who claimed the win in stage 10 from Campi Bisenzio to Sestola, has to withdraw due the gastrointestinal problem he has suffered since Tuesday. 

Team doctor Giampaolo Benini and the #GreenTeam management made the decision to preserve the health of the rider in light of the difficulties he showed during and after the last few stages. Ciccone will travel home today and, as soon as possible, he will undergo medical examinations.
