The Spanish Movistar and the Dutch Team Roompot are the latest confirmations in the peloton of the Volta ao Algarve/Tour of Algarve, which goes on the road between 18 and 22 February and which has, at this time, 20 teams.

With Movistar, winner of the team world ranking in 2014, the Volta ao Algarve/Tour of Algarve now has eight WorldTour teams: Astana, Ettix-QuickStep, Garmin-Cannondale, Katusha, Lotto NL-Jumbo, Lotto Soudal, Movistar and Sky.

In addition to confirming the presence, Team Roompot have already sent the pre-entry list. This is a team that draws on young Dutch talent, such as the U23 road national champion, Tim Kerkhof, who will be accompanied by Michel Kreder, Raymond Kreder, Wesley Kreder, Jesper Asselman, Maurits Lammertink, Berden de Vries and Mike Terpstra, under the direction of former star of sprints Jean-Paul van Poppel.

The Team Roompot is the fifth professional continental team confirmed, joining the German Bora-Argon 18, the Spanish Caja Rural-RGA, the Russian RusVelo and the Belgian Wanty-Groupe Gobert.  The six Portuguese continental teams and continental Optum p / b Kelly Benefit Strategies from the United States of America will also be present.
