The Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung Mallorca training camp reached its conclusion yesterday after 11 successful days on the Spanish island. Despite some adverse weather conditions the motivation was high throughout the camp and a great foundation was laid by all riders and staff for the coming season.

Daily training rides of up to 7 and a half hours coupled with various other training sessions made sure riders are well prepared for their early season goals. A number of partners joined the cam, all fine tuning their products to each of the riders' specifications. The commitment shown by all parties concerned allows Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung to start the 2015 season with increased confidence.

The team now turns its attention to the Challenge Mallorca races which starts later today and to the squad down under, that will race the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race on Sunday.

“The camp was another stepping stone regarding our ambitious goals for the season, general manager Brian Smith said. "The riders trained really well and are getting into a good shape already. Everyone is ready to race and we’re looking forward to compete.”

“We are very happy with the MTN-Qhubeka team, it is a very unique organisation," Francesco Sergio from Cervélo said. "Apart from the sponsorship, this team has a very human element and you feel that straight away. From the perspective of Cervélo, this team is very different to what we have been involved in before. We feel more comfortable working with this team than any others before because its becoming like one big family. In talking to the other sponsors, they have the same feeling, it is not just our feeling. With many years of engineering experience I can also say this team is very interested in the technology, its not just the mechanics but the soigneurs and all other staff as well who are interested in how our technology works and this is a feeling we really like.”

“We have been here with the MTN-Qhubeka team at their training camp in Mallorca," Wolfgang Turainsky from 3T said. "We have been setting up the bikes for the new season, specifically the race bikes. We have been really satisfied with how everything has gone. All the riders have been set up in their preferred position with their preferred components. Now they are ready to roll with the first races coming up in the next week.”
