For the second time this season, Danilo Napolitano is at home because of an injury. In the Three Days of West-Flanders the Italian crashed and broke his collarbone. During the Tour de Wallonie he crashed again and hurt his hand. After having received 20 stitches in his hand he returned to Italy to recuperate.
"Despite that the doctors said I should take it easy for a few more days, I started training again very easily. It’s still painful because I still have stitches in my hand and elbow.
"When the wounds have healed more next week, the stitches will be removed. I don’t feel defeated and feel that I still want to show myself this season. I have had enough bad luck this year."
