Solid showings in the Circuit Sarthe individual time trial keep the Cannondale-Garmin general classification ambitions alive. Ramunas Navardauskas rounded out the podium to jump up to fourth overall while Nathan Haas slots in one spot behind on the general classification thanks to his time trial good for eighth place.
Navardauskas says: "The team is working great together. We are all working together for a result. Today was a very long day. Of course, two races in one day make you feel you tired. All the boys were on great form in the road race. It's easy to see everyone is motivated.
"The afternoon time trial was very simple - put it in your biggest gear and pedal as fast as you can. I am very happy I could be third in this race. We now have two riders in the top five. Tomorrow will be very important for us. We are ready and motivated!"
