Ramunas Navarduaskas again proved his fast sprinting legs when he took third in the Grand Prix de Quebec. The Lithuanian is still trying to find out what he does best and thinks this kind of one-day racing is a good fit for him.
Last week Ramunas Navardauskas excelled in the Tour of Alberta and so went into the Grand Prix de Quebec as one of the outsiders. The Lithuanian performed excellently as he was part of a late breakaway before sprinting to third.
The result is his first podium spot in a WorldTour race and indicates that he may turn into a strong contender for hilly one-day races.
"I have always been around there [in sprints], but never the best there. I can sprint, I can time trial a little bit, but still looking for my best suit," he said. "This type of race is good for me."
Earlier this year Navarduaskas won a stage of the Tour de France and took the overall win the Circuit Cycliste Sarthe.
