David Lopez continued his strong run at the Tour of Norway with second place on stage four, moving himself onto the overall podium.
The Spaniard was active on a tough uphill finish in Geilo and attacked in tandem with team-mate Lars Petter Nordhaug in the closing stages.
Lopez followed home compatriot Amets Txurruka (Caja Rural) two seconds back at the finish, elevating himself to third overall, one minute and five seconds back on the yellow jersey of Jesper Hansen (Tinkoff-Saxo).
Nordhaug hung on for sixth place on the stage, also moving up into ninth place overall, 1:46 behind Hansen, heading into Sunday's finale.
Earlier Pim Ligthart (Lotto Soudal) and Bob Jungels (Trek Factory Racing) went clear in a move heading out of Rjukan.
MTN Qhubeka and Tinkoff-Saxo were among the teams riding to control the day, with Jungels finally clawed back with 12km to go.
