Team NetApp-Endura came in third at the team time trial in the Italian traditional stage race Settimana Coppi e Bartali.

The German team completed the 11 km course eight seconds behind the winning team Katusha. After the first day of the tour, Jan Barta (winner of last year’s race) and Bartosz Huzarski from Team NetApp-Endura are seventh and eighth in the general classification.

“Today we were close to victory and are very happy with the podium,” says Alex Sans Vega, Sport Director of Team NetApp-Endura. “It was important to us that we keep all our options open for our captains in the overall rankings It turned out really well for us because with Jan Barta and Bartosz Huzarski we are within striking distance,”
