The new Belarusian road race champion Andrei Krasilnikau must have had mixed feelings after yesterday's events. He became Belarussian champion but was sacked by his team after a feud with his teammate and manager Aleksandr Kuchynski.

Belarusian cycling had a great day when Vasil Kiryienka won the time trial at the European Games in Baku but yesterday a sad chapter was added.

In Moyzr Andrey Krasilnikau from team Minsk Cycling Club won the national title for the second time in his career and celebrated the win on Twitter. But the disappointment came quickly. Krasilnikau had his teammate Kuschynski didn't agree but unfortunately for Krasilnikau Kuchysnki is also his boss.

Havung finished second, Kuchynski found it hard to hide his disappointment but then took a drastic decision. Krasilnikov was sacked and is now looking for a new team.

Krasilnikau reacted on Twitter. "After I won the race, my bike was take by my teammate and boss Aleksandr Kuchynski. He was not happy that I won and that he didn't."

It is a remarkable decision by Aleksandr Kuchysnki who defended the colors of Katusha until last year. Previously, he has been riding part of Liquigas. Kuchysnki has won his national title three times and in 2010 he was second in Gent-Wevelgem.

The new Belarusian champion Krasilnikov applied for a new team via Twitter. "Is there a team that needs me right now?" Fortunately, he has a fresh Belarusian title in his pocket."
