According to Dutch website Wielerflits, Aidis Kruopis will leave An Post-Chain Reaction to join Verandas Willems. The 29-year-old Lithuanian rode for Orica-GreenEDGEf rom 2012 to 2014. Last season he became national champion in Lithuania.
Verandas Willems had a very successful 2015 and finished the Europe Tour in fifth place, beating teams like Wanty-Groupe Gobert and Roompot Orange Peloton. They have lost Gaetan Bille and Dimitri Claeys who have signed a contract with Wanty-Groupe Gobert. Sprinter Kruopis will fill the gap.
The Vilnius-born Lithuanian mainly had succes in his first year with Orica-GreenEDGE. He won stages in the Tour of Norway (2.HC), two stages in the Tour du Poitou-Charentes (2.1) and sprinted to a stage victory in the Tour of Poland (WorldTour). In the past he also won Schaal Sels twice, a stage in the Tour of Belgium, a stage in the Tour of Turkey and this year he was Lithuanian road race champion.
