One month ago Jens Voigt set a new Hour Record. Now Matthias Brändle will try to do even better when he makes his own attempt next Thursday in Aigle.
Reportedly, the Austrian rider Matthias Brandle (IAM Cycling) will make an Hour Record Attempt on October 30 on the velodrome in Aigle (Switzerland). After the introduction of new regulations, German Jens Voigt set a new standard of 51.115 kilometers on September 18.
Austrian Matthias Brandle, 24, is a TT specialist who finished fifth in the Tour of Britain and Tour of Belgium time trials in 2014. However, he is not yet at the level of the big champions like Tony Martin, Fabian Cancellara and Bradley Wiggins.
However, Brandle is however that he could is able to beat Jens Voigt's record and he will try to cover more than 51.115 kilometers during an hour on the track in Aigle, Switzerland. With Wiggins set to make his own attempt next summer, the Austrian may want to give it a try before the Brit is expected to improve the mark considerably.
