Bradley Wiggins has recently been hinting at a delay of his retirement from cycling, most recently at the Six Days of Ghent. The 36-year-old Tour de France winner from 2012 will also get support from the British federation in 2017.

Wiggins has recently been unclear about his future. 

"I have very good legs, so I do not want to announce that I am one hundred percent sure going to stop and then do about something else the next week,” he said in Ghent.

It now appears that Wiggins will receive support from the British federation which strongly suggests that the Briton will also be active in 2017, at least on the track. 

Like Mark Cavendish and Chris Froome, Wiggins will be of the Olympic Podium Programme. This is the highest support from the British Association for highly skilled elite riders who can target medals at World Championships and the Olympics.
