" Our way to the the Tour continues."
Those were the words of Astana's Lieuwe Westra after stage seven of the Critérium du Dauphiné. Westra and his teammates continued their preparation on the way to the Grand Départ in Utrecht on 4th of July.
The team faced many climbs and finally a hot sun following the program established and free of stress. Michele Scarponi with Vincenzo Nibali arrived 3m 58s after stage winner Christopher Froome of Great Britain. Nibali is now eleventh in the overall classification 3m 05s behind new leader Tejay van Garderen of the USA.
"I'm not worried," the Italian champion told Belga . "I gave more or less the same condition as last year at this time. '
"I am more disappointed by what happened yesterday compared to what happened today. I really wanted to win and to lose the stage in the last hundred meters was disappointing. Today I was just not good enough. "
