Although crashed hard in Tour de San Luis, Vincenzo Nibali(Astana) suffers no fracture, and will continue his racing schedule as planned, according to Astana team. Nibali will attend Tour of Dubai from Feb 5th to Feb 8th.

Nibali crashed in stage 6 of Tour de San Luis, where he became one of the victims in the mass crash before the climb that day. The Sicilian finished the stage, but felt pain in his ribs. Luckily, now Astana doctor Andrea Andreazzoli confirms that Nibali didn't suffer any fracture.

"Yesterday, Vincenzo underwent an X-ray after a persistent pain in the ribs after falling last week in Argentina. The X-ray confirmed that there's no evidence of fracture in any of his ribs."

The former Giro and Vuelta winner has to receive continued treatment on his ribs, though. "We've decided that Nibali will receive physiotherapy and anti-inflammatory for the injury, and in the same time continue training and racing as scheduled." adds Andreazzoli.

Nibali will race in Dubai next week as planned, as the team considers the race ideal for warm-up, mostly due to its warm climate.

Nibali's schedule before Tour de France: Tour of Dubai, Tour of Oman, Paris-Nice, Milan-San Remo, Criterium International, Amstel Gold Race, Fleche Wallonne, Tour de Romandie and Criterium du Dauphine.
