Even though Vincenzo Nibali is known for building his form slowly yet steadily throughout first weeks of the cycling season, the significant improvement was visible in his early performances, even with slight glimpses of aggressive riding in the Tour of Oman concluded in the late February. The Astana leader will use the GP Camaiore held today as his final preparation before taking on the Paris-Nice as the full roster of the Kazakh team for the former one-day race has been announced.

Nibali has shown a steady increase of his condition throughout his first three races of the season, particularly Tour the San Louis in which he deliberately recorded an anonymous performance, followed by Dubai Tour and more promising showing in the Tour of Oman finished twelfth in the general classification but highlighted by a demonstration of his flawless descending skills in the finale of stage fourth.

Having seventeen days of competition already under his belt the Astana leader will line up at the GP Camaiore today as his final preparation before participating in the Paris-Nice, held from 9 to 16 March this year. The Giro d’Italia champion will return to the French stage race for the first time since his debut in 2006, as he was preferring the schedule including Tirreno-Adriatico in the following seven seasons.

The complete Astana Pro Team roster for GP Camaiore consists of:

Vincenzo Nibali, Valerio Agnoli, Francesco Gavazzi, Enrico Gasparotto, Jacopo Guarnieri, Alessandro Vanotti, Fredrik Kessiakoff and Andrey Zeits.
