Niccolò Bonifazio lived his first year in the professional peloton. With Lampre Merida, he had a good season by winning five success: Coppa Agostoni, three stages at the Tour of Hainan and one stage at the Tour of Japan. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, he said he had a busy year, but he remains proud of his performance.

"At first, I was shy. I even had a lot of apprehension. I was careful and I had a lot of respect for all the riders in the peloton. There a few months, I watched the races on TV, and now I see them in flesh and bone », he explained.

The Italian rider has traveled extensively: "This season, I have traveled the world. I went to Dubai, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Slovenia, Poland, the Netherlands, but also in Japan and China. Now it is up to the rest home. I tried to do well in 2014. I raised my arms at the Tour of Japan, Tour of Hainan and the Coppa Agostoni. I won every win in sprint. But that's normal because this is where I excel."

"I hope that the 2015 season will be better than the 2014 season. I want to progress, to improve in all areas. These days, I try to gain muscle by doing exercises at the gym."
