After a great eighth place in the Vuelta a Espana, Mikel Nieve has signed a two year extension with Team Sky.

 

The Basque tweeted: “Happy to continue wearing this jersey during the next two years @TeamSky”.

 

He is a great domestique but is no stranger to getting big wins for himself. He has won a Dauphine stage for Sky, as well as taking wins in the Vuelta and Giro while wearing Euskaltel colours.
