The 2017 edition of the Vuelta a Espana will kick off with a team time trial held in Nimes, the first ever French city to host the start of the Spanish three-week event, as it has been announced by the mayor of the city yesterday.
“It will be the first time for the Vuelta a Espana to start in France and the first stage is going to be a team time trial,” Mayor of Nimes Jean-Paul Fournier told ANP.
It is yet to be announced, however, which cities will host the start of the 2015 and 1016 editions of the Vuelta.
