The course for the Vuelta a Espanan will be announced on January 12 but there are already many rumors. A few days ago, the daily Informacion announced that there will be four days in Valencia, including two summit finishes at Xorret del Cati and Cumbre del Sol. Yesterday AS announced new summit finishes even if they did not identify all of them.

The only certainty is that the Vuelta will start in Nimes in France on August 19. There is also much talk of a summit finish in Angliru the day before the finish in Madrid. This can be added to the accurate information from Informacion about the stages in Valencia in the first half (stages 6 to 9) and it seems that the Vuelta will quickly travel to the south along the eastern coast before returning to the northwest, with the final mountain stage on the Angliru in Asturias. AS also speaks of two summit finishes in Cantabria in the same are: Santo Toribio de Liebana Monastery and especially the highly anticipated Los Machucos (or Collado de la Espina). The latter is 13.6 kilometers long but it is mainly the last 7 kilometers that impress, with several sections between 20% and 28%.
