Regarded as the biggest French talent for Paris-Roubaix, Alexis Gougeard (Ag2r) will have to skip both the French classic and the Tour of Flanders.
Gougeard has been sick twice, during Paris-Nice and last week. He skipped Gent-Wevelgem and will ride Circuit de la Sarthe (April 5th-8th).
"De Ronde and Paris-Roubaix are tough races. A the moment, I am not 100%. And it’s wiser not to race these monuments. it’s frustrating but I have other goals this season," he said.
